Earlier in the week, I wrote about the price adjustment to Jennifer Siegal's OMD Showhouse, to a more reasonable-sounding $175,000 (from a high of around $300,000). Perhaps it's to acknowledge Marmol-Radziner's least expensive prefab house, the new Rincon 5, at MSRP of $179,000 for 660 square feet of super-cool, earth-friendly, pedigreed architecture.

For those of us who work in the make-believe world of graphic duh-sign, the names Herb Lubalin (typographic Jedi) and Lou Dorfsman (CBS golden era art director) are engraved in an swashy fat serif typeface somewhere high in the pantheon of visual arts. The Gastrotypographicalasemblage that Lou and Herb did for the CBS cafeteria wall in the mid-60s (pre fancy CNC machines and laser cutters) is a chunk of design history everyone should be privy to.
